Bari narrowly defeated Campobasso (Serie C) in their third friendly match during their training camp in Roccaraso, Abruzzo. A penalty kick converted by Sibilli late in the first half proved decisive. Next Tuesday, the Biancorossi will face Cavese, after which training will resume at the "San Nicola" stadium, awaiting their official Coppa Italia debut on August 17th at San Siro against AC Milan.

Fabio Caserta's comments after Bari's victory against Campobasso in Roccaraso, their third friendly match of the season, decided by a first-half penalty scored by Sibilli.

THE WORDS OF CASERTA
I'm pleased with the group's willingness to play this training camp. I saw the guys applying themselves to my instructions. It was a tough match against a well-organized opponent. The fatigue was noticeable compared to other matches; we're on our twenty-third training session with only one break. They need time to understand my style of football, both offensively and defensively. Obviously, the squad needs to be completed, starting with Dorval's replacement. We're clearly out of shape in midfield too. The transfer window is long and things change from day to day; we need to be ready to seize opportunities. I told the club I want players who are willing to fight for this jersey. Benali? From day one, I've seen a player who's on point. Then certain assessments need to be made by the player and the club. I'd be happy if he were to stay because he's a very intelligent player tactically; I wasn't the one who discovered him given his technical ability. But a possible decision to leave would be acceptable. Mavray has quality, but obviously he still has a lot to grow with. Young players should be launched, especially if they can provide solid performances. Then, obviously, we'll evaluate what to do for the future. And with him, Colangiuli, too. We're talking about good players who I'm starting to like. Pereiro and Sibilli are doing different things but have important skills. The defensive phase is very important when playing between the lines, as we have to cover the pitch. Partipilo? He's not one of our players, and I don't want to talk about him. But he's good, that's a fact.
