During Xana's difficult illness, Luis Enrique decided to leave his role as coach of the Spanish national team to dedicate himself completely to her and his family , a gesture of deep love and responsibility. When he announced her loss, he called her "the star that will guide our family".

Despite the great pain, Luis Enrique always spoke of Xana with gratitude, recognizing how lucky he was to share those precious years with her . To keep her memory alive and support those facing similar challenges, in 2023 the Fundación Xana was created, an organization dedicated to helping children and families affected by serious oncological diseases, thus transforming pain into hope and concrete commitment.
