Chiesa scored the decisive goal in Liverpool's Premier League debut: redemption after rumours of his departure.

He was one step away from leaving. Perhaps he still is. Federico Chiesa , waiting to define his future , however, returned to the pitch at Liverpool. And redemption arrived: in the Reds' Premier League debut, he scored the decisive goal against Bournemouth in the 88th minute, making it 3-2. The match at Anfield ended 4-2: the winner was another former Fiorentina player, Momo Salah , in the fourth minute of added time.
The former Juventus striker, who arrived in England for the first time last season—when he made just 14 appearances and scored two goals—broke the deadlock in the closing minutes of a match that had become considerably more difficult for the defending champions: the Reds had to wait until halftime to open the scoring. Hugo Ekitike , one of the club's new signings this summer, celebrated his debut in style in the 37th minute. The Frenchman then provided the assist for Cody Gakpo early in the second half, in the 49th minute.
The English champions seemed on course for an easy victory, but the visitors took over: Antoine Semenyo scored twice in 13 minutes (64', 77') and the Cherries equalized. Then came goals from Chiesa – who is currently interested in Antonio Conte 's Napoli – and Salah.
