Conte stays in Naples, Allegri returns to Milan

The evening of Thursday 29 May represents the first crucial market juncture of our Serie A. On the coaching side, obviously: Antonio Conte remains at Napoli, while Massimiliano Allegri returns to Milan. The renewed understanding of the former national team coach with the Neapolitan club , champion of Italy for the fourth time, was made official by the club's president himself, Aurelio De Laurentiis , with the tweet «Forward everyone, stronger than before». Below is a photo of him and Conte celebrating together on the scudetto party bus on the Naples seafront.
The meeting in Naples between the two, together with the club's CEO and sports director, Andrea Chiavelli and Giovanni Manna , lasted about three hours and ended shortly before 9 pm. At the end, the coach accompanied by his wife Elisabetta, the president and Mrs. Jacqueline and the two managers moved to a restaurant in the city. Smiling faces, but no statements. During the meeting, steps forward were made in defining the team's strengthening program.
Manna would have agreed with the coach the steps to take to achieve some objectives set by the coach to face the next season in the best way. There is an important project on the table: a market of 150/200 million to confirm himself in Italy and have his say in the Champions League. The first move should be the Belgian champion Kevin De Bruyne leaving Manchester City.
More or less at the same time, the news of Allegri's signing with Milan arrived, the club that launched him with the first Scudetto of his career, in 2011, before the five he won with Juventus . He will be the Rossoneri coach who will have to relaunch the team next season. The Tuscan coach has signed a two-year contract worth around 5 million euros with an option for a third year. Now only the official announcement from the Rossoneri club is awaited. For Allegri, it is a return to Milan after eleven years.
The fates of Conte and Allegri seemed linked: the former was expected to return to Juve , the latter was supposed to replace him in Naples. Instead, the only news coming from Turin for now seems to be the imminent exit of sporting director Giuntoli . The Bianconeri club, given the choices of the favorite Conte, finds itself having to start the hunt again for a possible replacement for Igor Tudor , who should stay for the Club World Cup. Meanwhile, Bologna has announced the contract extension of Vincenzo Italiano until 2027. It was instead in Florence that Gian Piero Gasperini , having left Atalanta on stand-by, met Claudio Ranieri and Florent Ghisolfi. The two Giallorossi managers informed him of Roma's plans for a future together, which seems very likely. Thus, the bench situation that until a few hours ago was at a standstill is starting to evolve quickly, as the positions fall into place, for better or worse depending on the point of view. Gasperini's possible replacement would be Thiago Motta , but also Raffaele Palladino , who resigned from the Fiorentina bench. The Viola club must in turn, and unexpectedly, look around while Lazio , now determined to part ways with Marco Baroni , has moved decisively towards Maurizio Sarri .
