Formula 1, advertising bridge collapses on Austrian GP track a few hours before race

A large metal advertising 'bridge' crashed onto the Red Bull Ring racetrack in Spielberg just hours before the start of the Austrian Formula 1 Grand Prix.

After this morning's Formula 2 race, the structure collapsed and ended up on the track, at the height of the first curve. A large number of track workers intervened on the site and the firefighters are working to remove the bridge in preparation for the start of the Grand Prix scheduled for 3 pm.

According to initial information, there were no injuries but the accident could have had very serious consequences .
