Inter and Milan reject requests to join unwelcome ultras

The Meazza Stadium isn't for everyone. Inter and AC Milan have rejected the season ticket renewal requests of hundreds of ultras from both stands, claiming they were "undesirable" fans based on the clubs' ethical codes. According to Corriere della Sera, the clubs made the decision based on the findings of the "Doppia Curva" investigation, which also resulted in the arrest of the alleged perpetrators of two homicides that occurred within the ultras' circle.
The typology of rejected fansThe rejected fans include those previously banned from entering the stadium by DASPO (Daspo), but also those reported or fined administratively for inappropriate behavior or participation in clashes and violent incidents. These include the names that emerged in the "Doppia Curva" investigation by prosecutor Paolo Storari of the Milan District Anti-Mafia Directorate, which a year ago led to the raid that exposed criminal activity in the stands and has already resulted in sentences of up to ten years.
Blocking the transfer of season tickets to other peopleThis also includes the complete ban on the "transfer" of season tickets to other people for fans in the second blue tier (Milan's Curva) and those in the second green tier (Inter). There are also other restrictions on ticket and season ticket management, in addition to the Meazza's new security plan, which includes facial recognition cameras at the turnstiles. With the latest authorizations from the Italian Data Protection Authority, this plan should be operational by the start of the season.
