Prato, July 5, 2025 - He is fresh from the victory obtained during the recent Italian jiu jitsu championship where he won first place among the lightweights in the “Master 2” category. And in the last few hours, by virtue of the result obtained, Andrea Bargi was also awarded by the Municipality of Poggio a Caiano. The athlete from Poggio was received by the mayor Riiccardo Palandri, the sports councilor Piero Baroncelli and the municipal councilor Alessandro Mancini, who gave him a medal for sporting merits and a parchment. During the ceremony in question held in the Municipality, Bargi briefly explained what jiu-jitsu is and pointed out how the discipline is becoming increasingly popular in Italy, including among women. In 2024, the athlete from Poggio who trains at the "Tribe Jiu Jitsu Firenze Nord" had won the Italian championship as a brown belt in the “Master 1” category.
