Judo: Prato Academy wins two medals at the "Gran Prix Lucania"

Prato, November 2, 2025 - Two medals won in a national-level judo competition. This is the milestone achieved by the Prato Academy at the "Gran Prix Lucania" held a few days ago in Policoro. Over a thousand judokas from across Italy competed in Basilicata, in various categories. The Prato club returned home with two medals: Sofia Kubler, who topped the podium in the "junior +78" category and thus earned the gold medal. Alex Carta also performed exceedingly well in the "junior -90" category, securing a bronze medal. Also participating in the Lucanian event were Riccardo Canepari, Tommaso Daddona, Alessandro Bellini, Mirko Calzolari, Rachele Bargelli, and Sara Pagliai, who performed well in the "senior" category. Previously, just over a week ago, Carta had also participated in the Italian Serie A1 team championships together with teammates Manuel Misoaga, Giulio Del Greco, Fabio Valgimigli, Gaetano Palumbo and Gabriele Borghini, and Simion Catharina, coming in fifth place overall.
