Karate, bronze medal for Angino of Nuovo CSKS Prato

Prato, June 22, 2025 - In the province of Cremona, a few days ago, the nineteenth edition of the “Trofeo Città di Casalmaggiore” took place. A karate event that saw the participation of hundreds of challengers from all over Italy. And Prato can also rejoice, thanks to the bronze medal won by Riccardo Angino. The competitor of the Nuovo CSKS di Prato competed in the “Master EF black belts” category. After easily passing the preliminaries, Angino reached the final round with the consolidated “kata Jiin”. Good execution up to halfway, then a couple of uncertainties weighed on the referee's judgment. “These sporting events are always a draw and on this occasion too, just under 700 competitors took part in the day – explained Angino – as is now customary, the Master EF black belt category is the largest in terms of numbers and all of the highest level. The participants in the trophy were all among the top twenty at a national level and the competition did not look like it would be easy to resolve”. The CSKS athlete will now continue training on the tatami with the Seven Club Prato group.
