L'Aquila. Defeated in a friendly match

Arezzo, August 21, 2025 – Marmorini's Montevarchi lost 0-1 in their fourth preseason friendly played yesterday at the "Brilli Peri" stadium against Empoli's Primavera team, coached by Andrea Filippeschi. The match against the Azzurri, who will compete in the Primavera 2 championship this year, was decided in the 20th minute of the first half by a goal from number 8 Perin, who recovered the ball from the Aquilotti's deep buildup and beat Giusti in a one-on-one situation. Montevarchi attempted to react after conceding and create dangerous chances, especially towards the end of the first half, but were unable to trouble the visiting goalkeeper too much. During the second half, despite the usual flurry of substitutions, it was mostly Empoli who came close to doubling their lead, with Marmorini's men coming close to equalizing in the closing stages with a header from Kondaj.

Now for the Valdarno team there is one last test against Sansovino and Arezzo Primavera on August 23rd in a triangular tournament that will be fundamental for Marmorini and his staff to understand the level of the team in view of the official debut which will take place on August 31st in the Coppa Italia against San Donato Tavernelle and which will be played on home soil at the "Brilli Peri".
