US Lecce has officially signed Nikola Krstović to Atalanta, permanently for €25 million plus a 10% interest on any future transfer. The Montenegrin striker, who played a key role in the Giallorossi's last two relegation campaigns, has already undergone a medical and will sign a €1.7 million per season contract with Atalanta until 2029.
The club from Via Colonnello Costadura now faces a crucial final phase of the transfer window: they need a center forward to replace Krstović, a central defender to replace Baschirotto, and a quality midfielder. The hot names in attack are Milutin Osmajić (Preston) and Nikola Stulic (Charleroi), the latter valued at €9 million by the Belgian club.
Sporting director Corvino, who once again made a huge capital gain (Krstović was acquired in 2023 for €3.8 million), is working to strengthen the squad and ensure Lecce's fourth consecutive relegation. Meanwhile, fan enthusiasm is also growing: according to a StageUp-Ipsos study, Giallorossi supporters have increased by 10% in the last year, confirming the strong bond between the team and the local area.
