Livigno (Sondrio) – Not on the historic Bormio slope, but still in Alta Valtellina, in the new location of Livigno .

The Fisi (Italian Winter Sports Federation) has made official that the Alpine Ski World Cup calendar will also include an event in the province of Sondrio in 2025. In particular, Livigno will host a super-G on December 27 , exceptionally replacing the traditional fast weekend (downhill and super-G) at the end of the year on the Stelvio in Bormio , busy with preparations for the now imminent 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics and Paralympics.

"An extraordinary result - declared in a joint note the Lombardy Region Councillor for Mountains, Massimo Sertori , and the Undersecretary to the Presidency with responsibility for Sport and Youth, Federica Picchi - the result of constant dialogue, at times even dialectical, between the territory and the FIS with its president Flavio Roda and the FIS (International Ski Federation, ed. ), which we thank very much for their availability and listening".

At the same time, the traditional downhill and super-G races in Bormio have been confirmed for the four-year period 2026-2029.
