Lucchese, after the failure comes the penalty: -14 in the standings

May 27, 2025

Lucchese celebrates 120 years with a historic exhibition and the support of the fans, despite the corporate challenges.
Lucca, May 27, 2025 – The penalty in the standings has arrived for Lucchese for a series of administrative violations, including the failure to pay salaries. In the next Lega Pro championship the Rossoneri will start from minus 14 , in addition the company will also have to pay a fine of 10,000 euros. A 14-month ban and a 10,000 euro fine were also imposed on Giuseppe Longo and a 6-month ban and a 5,000 euro fine for Nicola D'Andrea.
The penalty comes after the bankruptcy of Lucchese , decided by the Court of Lucca, with the appointment of bankruptcy trustee Claudio Del Prete, who is trying to get Pantera to register for the next Lega Pro championship. At the moment the final amount from Covisoc to be paid for salaries and contributions had not yet arrived to allow the presentation of the necessary documentation for registration. In the meantime, the procedure for the enforcement of the guarantee presented by the Bulgarella Group of three hundred and fifty thousand euros has been activated, furthermore there are a series of contributions blocked in the League, which could bring the figure around three million. This is approximately the amount that Stefano Grassi of Affida should come up with, to save Lucchese and the road is uphill . His staff is working hard, to prepare all the documentation, but it is a race against time and the minus fourteen in the standings risks being a further millstone.
There is still the possibility that Lucchese can restart from Serie D by acquiring the sports title of Ghiviborgo , without starting with penalties. The two mayors, that of Lucca Mario Pardini and that of Coreglia, Marco Remaschi, are in close contact and it is not excluded that the negotiation could come to fruition, given that Ghiviborgo has currently put on ice the possibility of selling the title to Viareggio. It is no mystery that the Municipality of Mediavalle prefers Lucchese, but first we will have to understand if Affida will succeed, perhaps with the help of some other entrepreneur from Lucca and the Bahrain fund. In the next few days we will understand what can be done to prevent Lucchese from ending up in the abyss again after the salvation achieved on the field in the playouts. Affida and the Municipal Administration are doing everything they can, but the deadlines are imminent.
