Mountain Tournament: Villa Minozzo is champion

The match finished 2-2 in regulation time, amidst controversy over refereeing incidents in true Montagna style (despite the unsummery weather, the Coni Centre in Castelnovo Monti was packed). Montecavolo took the lead in the 38th minute through Boschiroli, and Villa equalized in the second half with a shot from Ferrario (61'). Just four minutes later, Montecavolo took the lead again with a powerful left-footed strike from Mehmetaj from the edge of the box. The cup seemed to be heading for the team in black during regulation time, but in the 90th minute, Villa proudly equalized with a header from Caniparoli.

The score remained unchanged in extra time, and the penalty shootout tied the score at 3-3 after the first round, with Spqm celebrating throughout. Overall, Spqm won 6-5.

Under 15s: As mentioned, Spqm Montecavolo became champions with a 2-1 victory over Cerredolese thanks to a brace from Dessena (son of Daniele, a former professional we saw at Villa during the tournament). For Cerredolo, he had once again incredibly brought goalkeeper Boschetti down with a long-range shot.
