Novak Djokovic enters tennis history with his 100th ATP title in Geneva

It had almost become a curse but in the end Novak Djokovic managed to dispel this too: winning his 100th ATP title .
The Serbian, who turned 38 just two days ago, won the tournament in Geneva.
He thus enters the very exclusive club of tennis players who can boast more than 100 professional trophies: the only others are Roger Federer (103) and Jimmy Connors (109) .
Djoko beat Polish Hubert Hurkacz 5-7 7-6 7-6 after more than three hours of play. A signal in view of the next Roland Garros where Djokovic is aiming for another record, the 25th Slam . “It’s a beautiful moment,” he said emotionally at the end of the match in front of his family who followed him in the stands.
Djokovic, by winning the Gonet Geneva Open, today became the first tennis player in history to win at least one title for 20 different seasons. The first, in 2006, came in Amersfoort (Holland), curiously in the final against Nicolas Massu, who was in the stands today, precisely as coach of his great opponent on such a special day.
