Sports on TV: Champions League and NBA on Prime Video

The Champions League and NBA are the defining moments of Prime Video's sports season. The former Champions League is a confirmed presence: on Wednesday evening, an exclusive match, expertly covered by Sandro Piccinini and Massimo Ambrosini, a lengthy pre-match presentation hosted by Giulia Mizzoni, and, following the match, the customary interviews, a highlights show with Marco Cattaneo, which takes Prime subscribers through the two-day Champions League campaign. The playoffs begin on August 20th with the group stage playoffs, with the Italian teams (Napoli, Inter, Atalanta, and Juventus) taking to the field for the first time on the platform on September 17th.
The NBA's arrival on Prime is the big news for the upcoming season: starting in October, around 100 games will be broadcast exclusively, including the 2025-2026 season final, also exclusively on Prime thanks to a worldwide agreement signed by the Amazon group with the American professional basketball league. The games will be broadcast primarily on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings, with live commentary in Italian.
All this, always, at no additional cost to subscribers.
