Swimming, Prato native Lucrezia Domina sets record in Swim Cup

Lucretia Domina
Prato, June 27, 2025 – She recorded the best performance ever in the 100 freestyle, stopping the clock at 57'52. And she closed the “Swim Cup 2025” with three medals, two of which were made of the most precious metal. Lucrezia Domina, who a few seasons ago left Azzurra (after having swum as a young girl for Futura) for H.Sport Firenze, is confirming herself as one of the best young swimmers in the Tuscan (if not national) panorama. The swimmer from Prato, born in 2008, climbed to the top step of the podium in both the 100 freestyle and the 100 butterfly of the swimming competition that ended last Saturday at the Colzi – Martini in via Roma. She also grabbed a silver in the 4X100 mixed, together with her teammates from H.Sport. Results that were anything but trivial, given that among Lucrezia's opponents there was also Anna Chiara Mascolo, who participated in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. A few months ago she was awarded the "Bacchino Sport Award", for the high-level performance shown in recent months. With the icing on the cake represented by the Challenge International in Geneva, where she had the satisfaction of setting a new record in the 200 freestyle, taking it away from Federica Pellegrini (who participated in the Swiss event in 2004, not yet sixteen). And with these premises, she can still grow.
