Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini triumph again in Paris. The Italian Olympic champions won the title at Roland Garros, beating Anna Danilina/Aleksandra Krunic in three sets in the women's doubles final of the Parisian Slam with a score of 6-4, 2-6, 6-1. Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini thus won their second consecutive title after the one at the Internazionali d'Italia. It is their second consecutive Slam final at Roland Garros: last year they lost to Katerina Siniakova and Coco Gauff. On the major circuit, the two Italians have won seven titles, including the Olympic gold on the Parisian red clay in 2024, and four WTA 1000 titles.
In her career, Errani has won 34 doubles titles on the WTA circuit, Paolini eight. Errani, in her tenth career final in women's doubles at majors, completed the Career Grand Slam with Roberta Vinci. Together they have won five trophies: 2012 Roland Garros, 2012 US Open, 2013-14 Australian Open and 2014 Wimbledon. So today's is her sixth doubles Slam. For Paolini it is the first. Paolini in this edition of Roland Garros also triumphed in mixed doubles with Andrea Vavassori. She is the first to win the trophy in both specialties at Roland Garros since 2015, when American Bethanie Mattek-Sands did it.
