The race takes its name from the tragic battles of the Second World War, in memory of the five martyrs whose remains rest in the nearby tomb. A deeply meaningful event, it takes place under the silent gaze of the church of San Martino alla Palma, a symbol of the area. The view from the starting point is unforgettable: the gaze sweeps from Pistoia, across Prato, and stretches all the way to Florence. And as evening falls, the blossoming of lights across the plains makes the atmosphere even more magical and evocative.
What made the evening special wasn't just the race, but also the desire to reconnect, to share emotions and smiles. The convivial gathering organized at the end of the event was crucial, hosted on the panoramic terrace, where participants enjoyed a refreshing moment of socializing while enjoying a breathtaking view. It was a resounding success, confirming once again how a passion for sport can become a tool for memory, community, and beauty.
