Water Polo: Settebello restarts after disqualification, the Azzurri head for the World Championships

The water polo championship has ended with the victory of Pro Recco, 37th for the white and blue club , and the six-month disqualification imposed by the Aquatics Integrity Unit of World Aquatics has ended, and the Settebello's summer training begins . The sights are set on the world championships in Singapore (12-24 July). The first meeting is scheduled from Monday 26 May to Saturday 7 June at the Federal Centre - Polo Acquatico Frecciarossa in Ostia.

The technical commissioner Alessandro Campagna has called up 23 athletes: Tommaso Baggi Necchi, Alessandro Balzarini, Mario Del Basso, Filippo Ferrero, Tommaso Gianazza and Stefano Guerrato (AN Brescia), Alessandro Velotto (CN Marseille), Edoardo Di Somma (Ferencvaros), Francesco De Michelis (Novigeograd), Francesco Cassia and Alessandro Carnesecchi (CC Ortigia 1928), Andrea Mladossich (Trieste Water Polo), Matteo Iocchi Gratta, Nicholas Presciutti, Giacomo Cannella, Francesco Condemi and Francesco Di Fulvio (Pro Recco), Lorenzo Bruni, Luca Damonte, Mario Guidi, Gianmarco Nicosia and Andrea Patchaliev (RN Savona), Federico Neri Panerai (Sc Quinto).

The staff includes, together with coach Campagna, technical assistant Christian Presciutti, team manager Daniele Bianchi, athletic trainer Alessandro Amato and goalkeeping coach Goran Volarevic, doctor Luca Damato, physiotherapists Michele Mannarini and Marco Ciacci, video analyst Paolo Baiardini and psychologist Bruna Rossi.
