Summer in Water Parks: Adrenaline and Tropical Experiences

Summer in Water Parks: Adrenaline and Tropical Experiences

Summer 2025 opens with an unprecedented range of aquatic proposals. From Caribbean atmospheres to exotic beaches, from stage acrobatics to breathtaking descents, the main water parks in Italy are back as protagonists with a winning mix of fun, technology, comfort and innovation.

Modern and increasingly themed structures welcome families, young people and children looking for freshness and fun, and transform the hot season into a multisensory experience to be fully enjoyed. Below, a look at the main innovations of the most beloved Italian water parks.

Caribe Bay: the Caribbean dream in the heart of Jesolo

The new season of Caribe Bay , the famous tropical theme park in Jesolo , officially started on Saturday 31 May and has been confirmed as the Best Water Park in Italy for 2024. Summer here takes shape among turquoise waters, white beaches and atmospheres that evoke the Caribbean islands .

With over thirty years of history behind it, Caribe Bay is a point of reference in the national panorama of water parks. Born in 1989 from the entrepreneurial vision of the Pareschi family, it has evolved over time, transforming itself in 2004 with a theme that made it a real journey into the heart of the Tropics . The attention to detail is evident: over 20,000 tons of white sand, thousands of palm trees and monumental scenography transport visitors to another world.

Among the new features of the summer, the renovated Silver Cape area stands out, overlooking the spectacular Silver Waterfalls: this exclusive corner is enriched with raised wooden gazebos, new umbrellas, an atmospheric food point and a chiringuito where you can sip Caribbean cocktails while admiring the entire park. The idea is to offer an oasis of tranquility without giving up the scenic context.

The shaded areas are also increasing, thanks to the addition of 200 umbrellas and an increasingly widespread network of gazebos , with 16 structures available and over 100 seats. Particular attention has been paid to the area near the Apocalypse slide, where three gazebos offer a comfortable refuge just a stone's throw from pure adrenaline.

The heart of the experience, however, remains in the attractions: 25 in total , capable of satisfying every type of public: from the marvelous Shark Bay, with sand on the seabed, to the dizzying Captain Spacemaker, the highest slide in Europe, passing through the relaxing navigations among ancient Mayan ruins aboard the Roatan.

The “Reserve Attraction” service reduces waiting times, while the little ones can have fun safely in the Pirates' Bay area. Every day, an international cast of 30 artists animates the park with breathtaking shows inspired by pirates and the traditions of Central America.

Acquaworld: Blue Paradise, the new tropical lagoon, is coming

Acquaworld , the only Italian indoor & outdoor water park, launches its big news for summer 2025: Blue Paradise , a new 800 square meter outdoor lagoon that expands and enriches the offer of the Tiki Bay area. Just a few minutes from Monza, Milan and Bergamo, Acquaworld confirms itself as a point of reference for aquatic fun in Lombardy.

With Blue Paradise, the park takes the tropical experience to the next level. Fine white sand , straw umbrellas and an exotic atmosphere coexist in a context that is also easily accessible by subway. The new lagoon is not just a pool, but a true oasis of well-being, where you can cool off, relax in cabanas with hydromassage or indulge in a moment of luxury on Balinese beds to share as a couple.

Alongside the new area, Acquaworld continues to offer a wide range of water slides , children's playgrounds, picnic areas and themed refreshment points. Constant investments in services and facilities contribute to making the park increasingly attractive, especially in the summer months, making it a perfect destination for all ages.

Cinecittà's Aqua World: Cinema Dives In

May 31st is also the reopening date for Aqua World , the water park inside Cinecittà World . With over 20,000 square meters of beaches, pools and attractions, Aqua World represents an exotic corner just a stone's throw from Rome , where you can spend a day on vacation without leaving the city.

Among the most popular experiences is Paradiso , a slow river inspired by Thailand, where you can be lulled by the water aboard soft rubber dinghies. Also not to be missed is the Cinepiscina , a 1,700 square meter pool equipped with a built-in giant screen, perfect for watching shows and events immersed in the water. Thrill seekers will find plenty to enjoy on the Vortex and Boomerang slides , to be tackled in pairs aboard rubber dinghies after a twelve-meter climb.

The offer is completed with a wide range of services: the exclusive VIP Paradiso Area for those who want maximum comfort, relaxation areas accessible by reservation and a free beach open to all. The park will be open until September 14 and remains an integral part of the combined ticket with Cinecittà World and Roma World, while maintaining its own independent identity.

Aquafan: music, adrenaline and show on the hill

June 1st marks the return of one of Europe's most beloved water parks: Aquafan in Riccione . Known for its ability to blend entertainment, sports and shows, the Romagna park inaugurates a season that promises to be richer than ever.

The calendar of events is packed: on June 13th the School End of Year Party is celebrated, while in July and August the Music Wave festival explodes, with live performances in the Wave Pool by artists of the moment such as Ludwig, Grelmos and Sarah Toscano. The Long Sunset days on Thursdays double: the slides remain open even at night, with events such as the Shower Party at sunset and performances by young emerging DJs from the Alpha Theta schools.

Over 3 kilometres of slides wind across the nine hectares of the Riccione hill, including the M280, the largest in the park. This year also sees the debut of the renovated Kamikaze , now white and blue, which promises descents at 70 km/h on two parallel tracks with real-time timing. For the little ones, there are dedicated spaces such as Arca Beach, Piscina dell'Elefante and Antarctic Baby Beach, while for relaxation there are the hydromassage areas and water games of Poseidon and Blue Rock.

The animations are curated by a new team of Aquadancers and led by the irreverent Franky Chiappinelli, for a summer always on the move.

LEGOLAND® Water Park Gardaland: the kingdom of bricks

The colourful LEGOLAND® Water Park Gardaland also returns on the weekend of 2 June, the only water park entirely dedicated to the world of LEGO® in Italy and the first of its kind in Europe: inside the Gardaland Resort, it offers a unique playful and creative experience, over a surface area of 15,000 m2.

As soon as you pass the entrance portal, surmounted by a giant wave of bricks, you find yourself projected into a playful and interactive dimension . Miniland welcomes visitors with miniature versions of Italian monuments, while in the Beach Party area, excitement reigns among slides and surprise buckets of water.

There is no shortage of spaces for relaxation, such as the LEGO® River Adventure , a slow river to navigate with customizable inflatable boats. The little ones can have fun safely in the DUPLO® Splash and Pirate Bay areas , while for the little builders, the Creation Island is a must-see, where they can invent original floating constructions.
