Admiral Raymundo Pedro Morales celebrates the flag
Admiral Raymundo Pedro Morales Ángeles, head of the Mexican Navy (Semar), said that the celebration of the National Flag also commemorates those who gave their lives for the greatness of the country.
In a message posted on its official social media account X, the naval command joined in the commemoration of the National Flag, whose official ceremony took place at Campo Marte in Mexico City.
Today we celebrate Flag Day, a symbol of unity, identity and national pride. As Mexicans, we honor it with respect and commitment, remembering those who have given their lives for the greatness of our country.
"We reaffirm our duty to serve by sea, air and land, guided by the highest values of honor, duty, loyalty and patriotism. May our flag always fly with pride!" wrote Admiral Morales Ángeles in his message.
On the occasion of the celebration of February 24, the Mexican Navy published a video on its YouTube profile about the meaning of the National Flag in the activities carried out by the personnel of the department.
In the framework of Flag Day, the Mexican Navy reaffirms its unwavering commitment to the nation, inspired by the values of honor, duty, loyalty and patriotism.
Our national flag represents the greatness of Mexico and the tireless work of its people: from those who protect our coasts and seas, to those who with effort and honesty contribute to the development of the country in every sector," said a message accompanying the video.
The Secretary of the Navy, he added in his message, is guided by principles to serve the flag with loyalty and protect national sovereignty.
