Canadian citizenship of Elon Musk proposed to be revoked
In Canada, they are seeking to revoke Elon Musk’s citizenship for his involvement in “ activities that go against the national interest.” The proposal has received the support of nearly 171 thousand people since it was launched on February 20.
The petition was started by New Democratic Party (NPD) MP Charlie Angus and alleges that Musk "has used his wealth and power to influence" Canadian elections and is now " a member of a foreign government that is attempting to erase Canadian sovereignty ."
"We, the undersigned, citizens of Canada , call on the Prime Minister to immediately revoke Elon Musk's dual citizenship and his Canadian passport," concludes the petition, which will close on June 20.
