The decision, he said, will be made after March 4, when it will be decided whether the 25% tariffs that Trump suspended for a month on February 3 will come into effect.
He recalled that there will soon be a review of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (T-MEC), planned for 2026, and after Trump's executive orders on tariffs, he said that it is most likely that "the entire review will be brought forward."
The president previously announced that this Thursday, security cabinet officials will hold high-level talks with Washington on the results of Mexico's security strategy, which deployed 10,000 National Guard members on the border with the United States to pause the 25% tariffs on Mexican products that were to take effect on February 3.
