Diogo Jota's physiotherapist reveals his final hours before his death: "I said goodbye to them at dinner time."

The causes of the death of Diogo Jota and his brother André in a tragic car accident in Zamora remain unknown, but there are many rumours that the two footballers were coming from a party, a theory that Miguel Gonçalves, physio of the Premier League champion, has denied in statements to Record , where he also revealed details of the last hours of the deceased.
The physiotherapist explained that he was treating Diogo Jota for a pneumothorax, or collapsed lung. Because of his condition, the doctor advised the footballer not to travel by plane , so they decided to drive to Santander and take a boat to England.
"He told me the trip would take about eight hours, but that they would stop at a hotel in the Burgos area to rest. Diogo was very aware of his professionalism. They had to get to Santander, take the boat, and then go to England," the physiotherapist stated.
Gonçalves confirmed that "the family will arrive by plane later" and had scheduled "a medical appointment in Liverpool to assess the situation" next Monday.
"I started working with him last Saturday and was with him every day until this Wednesday. I said goodbye to them at dinner time ," Gonçalves added to the aforementioned media outlet.
Liverpool were scheduled to conduct their first preseason tests on their players this Friday. However, the Reds have canceled them due to the death of Diogo Jota , and they won't be held until next Monday, when they return to training.
