Evelyn Salgado visits areas affected by Hurricane Erika on the Costa Chica

In the wake of Hurricane Erick, Guerrero Governor Evelyn Salgado provided direct assistance to affected areas of the state's Costa Chica.

He personally verified the damage, supervised the recovery efforts, and delivered humanitarian aid directly to the affected families.

Accompanied by brigade members from various state government agencies, Salgado Pineda visited the community of Punta Maldonado, in San Nicolás, to learn firsthand about the needs of the population.

During the tour, he listened to residents, assessed damage to homes and infrastructure, and reinforced the operations of the state brigades deployed in the area.

"I have traveled by land to the most affected municipalities, personally verifying the conditions of the Acapulco–Pinotepa Nacional Highway, which, thanks to the tireless work of our crews, is now completely clear so that support can continue to reach those who need it most," the state leader stated.

He met with mayors of the affected municipalities to learn about their demands and requests, and reaffirmed the state government's commitment and solidarity to address them.
