Illegal garbage dumps will be eradicated in the Miguel Hidalgo municipality

The mayor of Miguel Hidalgo, Mauricio Tabe , announced the reinforcement of actions to eradicate clandestine dumps.

He said that they will extend the routes of the evening garbage collection service known as the Tecolote Program in the areas with the highest number of complaints, in addition to continuing with the operations to refer those who throw garbage in public roads.

In the next few days we will be rescuing several spots that have been appropriated by people who throw garbage, by clandestine dumps. Last week we rescued the corner of General Sóstenes Rocha and General Juan Villegas, in the Daniel Garza neighborhood. There we finished off a dump that was no longer clandestine, it was a dump that had been there for many years, for more than 30 years, it was a traditional dump,” he said.

He added that during his administration, these dumps have been reduced from 92 to 53, but the goal is to eliminate them all.

He said that now they will be able to throw out garbage at night with the expansion of the Tecolote Program.
