Doomsday Chessboard - In something that not even James Cameron would have thought of, they pitted an Atari against ChatGPT in a chess game... and the 1977 console emerged victorious.
Let's remember that the Atari 2600, created in 1977, was one of the first video game consoles to hit the market, and laid the groundwork for Nintendo and the vast gaming universe we enjoy today (although boomers still believe they are "games for children").

Since then, technology has advanced by leaps and bounds, leading to the current era, where Artificial Intelligence systems are now present even in microwaves.
Chess is safe from the clutches of AISo, a guy named Robert Caruso, an infrastructure architect with a lot of time on his hands, decided to pit OpenAI's AI against Atari's Chess program. The result was, to say the least, humiliating for ChatGPT.
Caruso used an emulator of the legendary Atari console on a machine with a 1.19 MHz processor and 128 bytes of RAM (i.e., nothing), against ChatGPT's sophisticated system... and still, the AI was "wiped off the board."

“ It was absolutely destroyed at the beginner level. The AI made glaring errors: it confused pieces, ignored obvious threats, and displayed a complete lack of 'board awareness.' On its first attempt, it blamed its failures on the Atari's rudimentary graphical representation of pieces, saying they were too 'abstract ,'” the Chinese checkers enthusiast explained.
Even though Caruso communicated the movements verbatim to avoid any graphic pretext, the AI continued to make blunder after blunder, confirming that this technology is still "in its infancy" ... and thus giving humanity a respite, which was already on the verge of hiding in bunkers in case Terminator became a prophecy.
