It's not Black Mirror, it's Neuralink! Musk unveils vision implants and telepathy chips

Elon Musk showed off the latest technological advancements of his neurotechnology-focused company, Neuralink. Information capsules about his latest developments in vision implants and telepathy chips have been circulating on social media.
In addition to its medical applications, Neuralink offers a futuristic vision of integration between humans and artificial intelligence.
Musk shows off new technologies"The next six to twelve months will be dedicated to making our first vision implants, including those for completely blind people (...). So you could see in infrared, ultraviolet, or radar. It's like a superpower situation ," Musk responded in an interview.
The entrepreneur explained that vision implants have been tested on monkeys, and one has been in use for three years. Meanwhile, a user on X named Rob Greiner shared a video of himself playing video games in his wheelchair and using a telepathy chip, moving the course with his thoughts.
“It’s incredible what I can do in less than a week with Neuralink! I can’t thank the Neuralink team, the doctors, the surgeons, and all my family and friends enough for their support. It may seem like I’m only playing a few games, but in less than a week, I’m already impressed,” he said.
What is Neuralink?Neuralink is a neurotechnology company founded by Elon Musk, whose main objective is to develop implantable brain-computer interfaces. These devices, consisting of a chip with ultra-thin electrodes inserted into the brain, capture neural signals and transmit them to external devices.
Its initial use focuses on people with paralysis or neurological diseases such as ALS or Parkinson's, making it easier for them to control computers, write, or even play games with their minds.
However, the technology faces significant challenges: surgical risks, technical issues, and ethical dilemmas related to privacy and the responsible use of neurotechnology.
