La Vela Puerca celebrates 30 years with a show in Mendoza
The Uruguayan band La Vela Puerca is celebrating 30 years of career with an international tour that will span Latin America and Europe . As part of this anniversary tour , the group announced a series of performances in Argentina and will also perform in Mendoza on July 26 at the Ángel Bustelo Auditorium .
After three years , the group returns to the province with their tour. General ticket sales are available at Tuentrada.com ( Visa Banco Galicia customers: 6 interest-free installments ) and Moicano Rockería .
With three decades of history , La Vela Puerca has established itself as one of the most influential bands in River Plate rock , with a style that combines rock, ska, and pure energy . Since its beginnings in Montevideo in 1995 , the band has built a solid career and a deep connection with its audiences throughout Latin America .
The current line-up is made up of:

Nicolás "Mandril" Lieutier (bass),

With twelve albums released , their latest studio album, Discopático ( 2022 ), marked a return to the rawest roots of rock and was very well received by critics and fans. Additionally, in 2024 , La Vela surprised with new singles and the live version of the album “A Contraluz” , reaffirming their artistic validity and their commitment to the sound that characterizes them .
The 30th Anniversary Tour will be a unique opportunity to relive great classics such as El Viejo, José Sabe, Zafar and Por la Ciudad , and to reconnect with a band that has managed to reinvent itself without losing its essence .
After their tour of Spain , in June they will tour Argentina again, with performances in La Pampa, Tandil, Mar del Plata, Olavarría, Zárate, La Plata, Córdoba, Mendoza, San Juan and on November 1 they will return to the Ferro Stadium in Buenos Aires .
In this year of celebrations , the Uruguayan band launched their own Podcast called " Tenemos Jardín" , a space where they go through the stories of each song, revealing anecdotes and details .
