New Judiciary

The debate over whether the upcoming judicial election is an example of democracy or a sham continues. However, it has divided those who consider it a sham, and now the debate is about whether or not to vote.
One of the new elements of the reform to the Federal Judicial Branch is the reform to Article 100 of the Constitution, which establishes the power of the Judicial Disciplinary Tribunal to initiate investigations into complaints and accusations against the justices of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation, as well as the bodies that comprise them. This will be the power of powers in the judicial sphere.
Ariadna Camacho Contreras, the candidate for magistrate of the new body, has stated , "There is no room for impunity. All judges within the Judiciary must act with complete rectitude, honesty, professionalism, and commitment to serving the people of Mexico."
However, the debate about whether or not to participate in the judicial election continues to be a public issue.
