Peso operates erratically! Dollar price today February 25, 2025

The Mexican peso starts the day on Tuesday with ups and downs, with the price of the dollar today, February 25, 2025, trading at 20.47 units for each greenback; find out here what the exchange rate is in Mexican banks .
The Mexican currency registered a marginal decline of 0.02% against the reference price on Monday, although moments before it had depreciated by 0.29%, after advancing by 0.22% in the early hours of the morning.
The erratic behavior of the Mexican peso is due to recent statements by the President of the United States, Donald Trump, who stated that tariffs on Mexico and Canada would go ahead as planned.
The president said Monday that tariffs on goods from both nations will come "on time and as planned" despite efforts by their governments to strengthen border security and stop the flow of fentanyl into the United States before the March 4 deadline.
Many had hoped that America's two largest trading partners could persuade the Trump administration to further delay tariffs that would be imposed on more than $918 billion worth of U.S. imports from both countries, ranging from automobiles to energy.
