Rains leave 9 puddles in Mexico City

The Mexico City government implemented the Tlaloque plan to address the effects of Thursday's rains , which included nine puddles ; a volume of 2.3 million cubic meters of rainfall was recorded.
Due to the rains this Thursday, the capital's authorities deployed 70 members of the Secretariat of Integrated Water Management ( Segiagua ), including technical engineers and drainage crews, through Operation Tlaloque .

The deployed personnel were supported by 35 vehicles , including two Hercules units, five emergency pumping units, six hydropneumatic vehicles, three treated water trucks, two dry vans, a dump truck, a HIAB crane, a Unimog, and 14 pick-ups.

The Water Department, headed by José Mario Esparza, reported that the municipalities most affected by the rainfall were Tláhuac, Iztapalapa, Xochimilco, Tlalpan, and Milpa Alta.
In addition, on Ana María Gallaga Street, corner with Rómulo O'Farril, in the Miguel Hidalgo neighborhood, in the Álvaro Obregón municipality , a landslide was recorded, which was attended to by personnel from the Secretariat of Comprehensive Risk Management and Civil Protection ( SGIRPC ), an incident that did not register any affected people.
In the Tláhuac municipality, the head of the SGIRPC, Myriam Urzúa , and the mayor, Berenice Hernández , carried out a supervisory tour, in which operational personnel attended to puddles in the "Agustín Lara" Health Center , a site where the operation of a submersible pump was implemented to extract the accumulated water.

In addition, members of the Heroic Fire Department of Mexico City responded to 22 reports of fallen trees , removed two power poles, and responded to three short circuits and six flooding incidents.
According to a report made before midnight on Thursday, the capital's authorities recorded a volume of 2.3 million cubic meters of rain , while the maximum volume of precipitation reported at the San José Tláhuac RB Tequesquite station, in the Tláhuac municipality, was 12 millimeters.
