Simultaneous searches carried out at three gas stations in Saltillo

Simultaneous searches carried out at three gas stations in Saltillo

The operations, led by the Attorney General's Office (FGR) and the Ministry of Public Security (Sedena), are believed to be linked to the seizure of 2 million liters of hydrocarbons over the weekend.

On Wednesday afternoon, federal authorities conducted simultaneous raids at three well-known gas stations in Saltillo as part of an investigation into possible theft and adulteration of hydrocarbons . The operations were led by the Attorney General's Office ( FGR ) , with support from the Ministry of National Defense (Sedena) and forensic services personnel.

One of the stations inspected is located at the intersection of Revolución and Mirasierra boulevards, in the neighborhood of the same name, where a convoy of military patrols arrived to execute a court order. On site, detectives placed suspension documents in the administrative offices, halted the operation of the gas pumps , and subsequently inspected the underground tanks to verify the quality of the fuel for sale. As of press time, the results of the forensic analysis have not been released .

In parallel, two other stations—one located on Luis Donaldo Colosio Boulevard , in the Valle de San Agustín neighborhood, and another in the southern area of Saltillo, near the Las Teresitas neighborhood —were also intervened by the authorities.

Unofficial sources indicated that these searches would be related to the massive seizure of gasoline that occurred last weekend , when federal elements seized nearly 2 million liters of hydrocarbon , in addition to eleven people arrested , seven suction pumps , eleven rail tankers , twenty pipes , seven tractor-trailers and other containers used in the illegal trafficking network .

It was also reported that a property allegedly operating as a clandestine fuel storage and distribution center was seized.

So far, authorities have not confirmed whether the searched stations will remain closed or will be able to resume operations in the coming days. Nor has it been specified whether there is any direct connection between these stations and the fuel seizures carried out over the weekend.

The operations are part of a reinforcement of the national strategy against fuel theft , coordinated by federal and local agencies.
