As an example of the modernization of services for citizens, Mayor Ana Paty Peralta, through the Revenue Department, inaugurated the installation of eight smart ATMs for the payment of municipal contributions related to various taxes, fees, and fines. These ATMs are located throughout the city. This is part of five decisive actions under the "Zero Corruption" campaign, launched this Wednesday.

"We now have new ATMs to make it easier to pay property taxes, utilities, and fines. Now you can do everything quickly and easily and get your receipt instantly. You can find these ATMs at five locations throughout the city: at the Municipal Palace, Plaza Las Tiendas, the CANACO offices, the Municipal Transit Office, and the Municipal Secretariat of Ecology and Urban Development," he explained.

He explained that this procedure will be carried out through a platform for taxpayers' convenience, which will simplify compliance with their obligations, while providing all the security measures to protect their personal information.

Polaris Revenue Director Desiré Tenorio Cardona indicated that all machines are operational as of May 1, after having conducted tests and operations in previous days to confirm their full operational condition.

"The intention is for taxpayers to be able to receive their receipt at the ATM. They'll receive cash and can make card payments," he explained.

He noted that four smart ATMs are located in the Municipal Palace, and the others are located in: "Plaza Las Tiendas," inside the Municipal Cadastre; the Secretariat of Ecology and Urban Development; the Municipal Transit Office; and the offices of the National Chamber of Commerce (CANACO) Cancún, with the intention of making them easily accessible to citizens.

He emphasized that the only items that cannot be paid under this new modality are: Real Estate Acquisition Tax (ISABI), Environmental Sanitation Fees, and Federal Maritime-Terrestrial Zone Tax (Zofemat).

These digital mechanisms allow for cash and bank cards as payment methods. For taxes, you can download the cashier's pass with your registration number or cadastral code, along with a capture line from the cashier's pass issued by the agency. For fines, this can also be done with the cashier's pass.
