The Mexican government and the Ministry of Public Education (SEP) will hold open dialogue with the CNTE.

The Ministry of Public Education and the Ministry of the Interior reiterated their willingness to engage in dialogue with dissident teachers.
They recalled that a direct meeting with President Sheinbaum was offered and there was a formal response to the list of demands of the National Coordinator of Education Workers ( CNTE ), however, some sectors decided to maintain their mobilizations .
Interior Secretary Rosa Icela Rodríguez Velázquez and Public Education Secretary Mario Delgado Carrillo said they were on the lookout for the scheduled meeting with teachers, without the presence of the head of the Executive Branch.
"The Mexican government regrets the impact caused by the teacher protests in various states; it emphasized that education is a priority for this government and reiterated its ongoing willingness to engage in respectful and constructive dialogue with the national teaching profession," they said in a statement.
They emphasized that Sheinbaum Pardo presented the offer to halt the increase in the minimum retirement age (which would reach 60 in 2028) so that it would remain frozen at 58 for men and 56 for women, so they urged a working group to address this issue.
They also announced a nine percent salary increase retroactive to January and a 10 percent increase starting in September , among other benefits.
