The new program that combines rafting, electric bikes, vineyards, and fine cuisine

Let's start at the beginning with this historic river, which rises in the peaks of Nevado de Acay, at about 5,000 meters above sea level, and flows into the Paraná River. On its banks, after defeating the royalists on February 13, 1813, General Belgrano had the troops of the Army of the North swear allegiance to the national flag.
Throughout its extensive river course, the Juramento changes names – Calchaquí, Santa María, Guachipas, Pasaje, Salado – and covers 124,199 km2 until its conclusion on the Santa Fe coast.
Launching down the river and navigating jumps and rapids without having to face high-risk situations is a dream for many people. Those who sign up for rafting in the Salta section have a double advantage: despite the ten jumps (level III) and five rapids (level II) they must face, the river is considered to be of low difficulty, so children as young as five can participate.
One of the companies that supports rafting as an essential activity in the North is Sentio , a brand new provider of exclusive tourist services with an operational base in Salta's Valle del Cóndor.
Their estate covers 30,000 hectares. In one section, they produce walnut and almond trees, work with livestock on a weed control plan, and are already producing wines from seven grape varieties: Malbec, Rosado, Syrah, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Torrontés, and Tannat.
The remaining land is preserved as a Private Nature Reserve where animals (felines, taruca, and condors, to name a few species) are monitored with camera traps, in collaboration with Global Wildlife Conservation.
At the helm of this venture are Adrián García del Río—a tourism entrepreneur since 1995, a pioneer in the development of multiple outdoor activities and a deep connoisseur of northern culture—and Iván Cornejo, with extensive experience in logistics, coordination, and project management.
The meeting point for rafting is the Galería de las Viñas (Gallery of Vines). A welcome snack is followed by transfer to the river. There, each participant receives their equipment, and the guides give the mandatory technical and safety briefing. And, as with any collective activity, it is emphasized that rafting is a team effort that, in this case, requires coordinated paddling.
Fun and adrenaline go hand in hand. The water rules, testing the abilities of those who brave the immense flow that sustains them for 12 km.
The scenic landscape of Cabra Corral guarantees a spectacular tour, and at km 35 you can see unforgettable traces of certain living beings that grazed these borders, which we define as dinosaurs.
Further on, you can spot some green rocks called "blue rocks," part of a natural route formed a mere 65 million years ago. The rafting concludes at Los Lapachos.
Sentio is planning to open a glamping site with a bird's-eye view of the Juramento River Canyon, within the Finca Valle del Cóndor reserve area.
