Welfare Pension May-June: Millions have already received their pension; check your date.

It was not yet dawn, and the line outside the Banco del Bienestar already stretched around the block. Amid laughter, umbrellas, and a patient atmosphere, dozens of people waited their turn to receive the pension, which represents not only an income but also a sign that the State has not forgotten them .
At the morning press conference from the National Palace, Welfare Secretary Ariadna Montiel Reyes reported that 8.7 million people have already received their pension or support corresponding to the May-June two-month period , as part of the Welfare Programs.
With a system based on the initial of a last name, the payment schedule ensures orderly, crowd-free service. As explained by Montiel Reyes, these are the key days:
- L – May 19
- M – May 20 and 21
- N, Ñ, O – May 22
- P, Q – May 23
Payments will continue to be distributed until May 30 , and people can check the exact date and branch locations on the official websites: 👉 gob.mx/bienestar

"We ask that you check your schedule so we can receive you in an orderly manner. There are already many of us, and we want to provide you with excellent service," Montiel emphasized.
The beneficiaries of this dispersion are various sectors of the population that represent the social pillars of Mexico:
- Older adults
- People with disabilities
- Working mothers
- Peasants and planters
Each of them receives a direct transfer, without intermediaries or conditions, as part of a public policy focused on social justice and equitable access to state resources .
Hurricane Relief: Otis and John are involved in social policy
The secretary also addressed a critical aspect of public service: supporting people affected by natural disasters . Hurricanes Otis and John left scars on the infrastructure and homes of thousands of Mexicans, but they also triggered an immediate response.
- 301,076 homes served
- 30,196 businesses supported
- 15.275 billion pesos invested
Hurricane John
- 66 municipalities affected
- 155,700 people benefited
- 6,168.9 million pesos invested
“The mandate was clear: leave no one behind. And we are fulfilling it,” declared Montiel Reyes.
During her speech, President Claudia Sheinbaum supported the advancement of social programs as a natural extension of the principles of the Fourth Transformation. “These supports are not handouts. They are rights that we recognize for those who have built this country,” the president affirmed.
The message was clear: social policy will not only continue, but will be strengthened .
Doña Petra, a 78-year-old woman who lives alone in a rural community in Guerrero, walks two kilometers to reach the Banco del Bienestar (Bank of Welfare). When she received the deposit on her card, her words were simple but powerful: "Now I'm going to buy my medicine and some beans. I no longer owe the store clerk."
Like her, millions of older adults, single mothers, farm workers, and people with disabilities find in these supports a tool to resist and live with dignity .
If you haven't yet received your pension or other support, check your payment date based on the initial of your last name, bring your card and a valid government ID, and arrive at your destination. The Federal Government has secured resources for all eligible beneficiaries .
The Welfare Programs are not just another policy: they're a way of governing with our hearts on the ground and our eyes on the future . The distribution of the May-June payments is moving forward efficiently, orderly, and with commitment. With more than 8.7 million people benefiting and thousands more set to receive support in the coming days, Welfare is no longer just rhetoric and becoming a daily reality for millions of Mexican households.
