Women at the wheel 2025: An event to make female empowerment visible

In the framework of International Women's Day, the State Government, the City Council of Saltillo and the Saltillo Classic Car Association present an event that seeks to celebrate gender equality and justice.

The “Ellas al Volante 2025” event will take place on March 9 in Saltillo, and will feature the participation of at least 200 classic vehicles, models 1995 and older . The activity seeks to make visible the important role of women in society and promote gender equality and justice.

The coordinator of the ride, Galilea Rábago Mar, stressed that the event is an opportunity for women to show their skills and dexterity behind the wheel. “The goal is for women to be the stars of the event and to feel proud of their ability to drive classic vehicles,” she said.

The ride will depart at 4:00 p.m. from the Municipal Presidency of Saltillo and will travel through several streets of the city to reach Parque Centro. There, artistic and cultural events will be held by the Municipal Institute of Culture of Saltillo.
