This phenomenon reflects a shift in educational and employment dynamics, a trend that reflects the diversification of women's areas of study and occupation.

In this context, the Secretary of Public Education, Mario Delgado Carrillo, highlighted that the administration of President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo is promoting public policies aimed at promoting equity, gender equality, and the empowerment of women through educational policies aimed at increasing their participation in various professional sectors.

The head of the SEP stated that, according to information collected by the General Directorate of Professions, headed by José Omar Sánchez Molina, a significant increase in female participation can be observed in various professional sectors in our country, such as the increase in the number of women in upper secondary and higher education, across different areas of knowledge.

Secretary Delgado Carrillo also emphasized that for the first time we have a female president, a scientist and academic.

Delgado Carrillo emphasized that women are not only present, but also lead in various areas of knowledge. In Education and Humanities, for example, 7 out of 10 professionals are women, consolidating their role as pillars in the training of new generations.

This same percentage is also present in Medical and Health Sciences, reflecting their growing leadership in clinical care, research, and innovation.

In the Fine Arts, 6 out of 10 people are women, contributing sensitivity, technique, and expression to national art.

In Social and Administrative Sciences, six out of ten professionals are women, actively participating in law enforcement, proper administration, policymaking, social analysis, and public and private management.

According to information provided by the General Directorate of Professions, headed by José Omar Sánchez Molina, women have increased their presence in areas such as mathematics, biology, and physics in the Exact and Natural Sciences. Currently, 5 out of 10 professional certificates are held by women, a clear indication of a professional gender balance.

The data highlights that, in Agricultural Sciences—in professional areas related to sustainability, food production, and rural development—5 out of 10 patents are held by women.

It is added that, in Engineering and Applied Sciences, greater participation of women is needed in careers such as Mechanics, Mechatronics, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical, and Construction, since only 4 out of 10 professionals are female.

Meanwhile, in the military, only two out of every 10 professionals are women, reflecting a space for opportunity in careers related to national security, naval aviation, naval systems, maintenance, and other fields.
