In the midst of falling sales, a kiosk sells at 2013 prices: hot dogs for $20 and alfajores for $2.

In Almagro, Dulcemente Cosas Ricas celebrates its 12th anniversary and is launching a retro promotion. Kiosk sales fell nearly 24%, and 16,000 kiosks have already closed nationwide.
Kiosks are going through a difficult time due to declining sales , which has led to the closure of several locations. However, one business decided to celebrate its anniversary by selling candy, alfajores, and hot dogs at the same price they had in 2013.
The unique initiative of the Dulcemente Cosas Ricas kiosk , located in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Almagro, is being launched for the 12 years it has been serving the public daily on 4035 Rivadavia Street.
The offers apply this Friday, June 6, to 12 products with unprecedented prices for 2025: hot dogs are sold for just $20, double and triple alfajores for $2 and $4, respectively, nougat for $2, and candies for $1.

The promotion runs from 10:00 a.m. this Friday and is valid until the 1,000-unit stock lasts . Under this offer, each customer can purchase up to five different products from the 12 participating products.
The owner of the store, Claudio Páez, spoke with Splendid AM 990 and described the difficult times the sector is going through, stating that "the drop in sales is dramatic, hence the closure of almost 16,000 stores" and revealing that his kiosk "sold 23.9% less in May than in April."
In this regard, it was revealed this week that 16,000 neighborhood kiosks closed in Argentina last year, reducing the number of formal establishments from 112,000 to 96,000 , according to the Union of Kiosk Owners of the Argentine Republic (UKRA).
The organization's vice president, Ernesto Acuña, stated that one of the main causes is the loss of exclusivity in the sale of traditional kiosk products, such as cigarettes, beverages, and candy, which are now offered in supermarkets, pharmacies, grocery stores, and even in "mini kiosks" installed at the checkout counters of large retailers.
