London. The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and its allies (OPEC+) announced on Saturday that it has agreed to accelerate production increases for the second consecutive month, increasing output by 411,000 barrels per day (bpd) in June, despite falling prices and expectations of lower demand.

OPEC+ sources have said that Saudi Arabia is pressuring the group to accelerate the reversal of previous production cuts to punish its members, Iraq and Kazakhstan, for their poor compliance with their production quotas.
