SAT increases refunds to taxpayers

The Tax Administration Service (SAT) reported that refunds totaling 23.859 billion pesos have been issued so far.
With a cut-off at 8:00 a.m. on April 29, 9,833,875 individual tax returns have been filed; that is, 775,710 more than in the same period last year, representing a 9 percent increase.
Of that figure, 6,448,637 requested a credit balance. To date, tax authorities have reviewed 4,251,971 returns, representing 65.9 percent of the total.

The SAT reminds you that the legal deadline for filing your annual personal tax return expires tomorrow, Wednesday, April 30.
The institution also noted that both the SAT Portal and the minisite for individuals are available 24 hours a day so taxpayers can comply with this tax obligation on time.
