The Fire Group expects to double its turnover after moving into a regional government warehouse in Soria.

The Fire Group expects to double its turnover after moving into a regional government warehouse in Soria.

The Minister of Economy and Finance, Carlos Fernández Carriedo, participated in the handover of the CyLog warehouse of the Regional Government of Castile and León to the company awarded the lease, Grupo de Incendios-Nuevas Líneas de Extinción. The company expects to double its turnover in five years.

The lease for the warehouse, with a surface area of 8,225 square meters and a monthly cost of €8,100 plus VAT, is for a 20-year term, renewable for another 10 years, and includes a six-month grace period to start the business. It also includes a purchase option for €2.1 million.

Later, the Minister of Economy and Finance chaired the monitoring committee for the Connected and Healthy Soria Plan 2021-2027 at the headquarters of the Regional Government's Territorial Delegation. This plan has so far mobilized €139.3 million in various projects promoted by the Regional Government of Castile and León.

This investment represents 84.25% of the total planned to date, which amounts to €165.36 million. The plan, initially allocated €159 million, has been increased to €165.36 million to develop the hydrogen plant at the PEMA.

Specifically, the Castile and León Regional Government increased its contribution to €135,239,688 from the initial €128.6 million, the Provincial Council contributed €20.6 million, and the Spanish Government allocated €9.5 million. Thus, the Plan's funding has increased to €165.36 million thanks to the Regional Government's contribution.

The Connected and Healthy Soria Plan 2021-2027 aims to structure the planned investment in various strategic areas for the region and its population, with the ultimate goal of promoting socioeconomic growth, encouraging business creation, generating employment, and, above all, establishing a population.

Grupo de Incendios-Nuevas Líneas de Extinción now has more than 100 employees in Soria (130 including its facilities in Portugal) and a turnover of €35 million. CEO Carlos Hernández explained that the company is "dedicated to the manufacture and distribution of fire protection systems," which is why "I like to say we protect people."

With the lease of the warehouse, the plan is to add about 20 people, and "we're sure we'll soon see significant industrial activity in this warehouse." However, the intention, in a five-year plan, is "more or less to double turnover." "We have a project where we want to grow in terms of activities, also in development, internationalize the company, and invest in technology," he commented. The intention is "to double both turnover and employee numbers."
