George Cloney's play will make history when it is broadcast on TV

The hit show ' Good Night , and Good Luck ,' starring George Clooney , will make history when it becomes the first show to be broadcast live on television from a Broadway stage, on June 7.
The play, which began its run on March 12 with an official premiere on April 3 , will air on CNN before the curtain closes on June 8, good news for those who can't afford the average $300 ticket price to see the two-time Oscar winner make his theatrical debut, NBC noted.
' Good Night , and Good Luck ' received five nominations for this year's coveted Tony Awards, including best actor for Clooney , and also made history recently by becoming the highest-grossing non-musical in Broadway history and the first to surpass $4 million in a single week, according to a joint statement from the producers and CNN .
In this play, directed by Tony Award winner David Cromer , Clooney plays television journalist Edward R. Murrow , who fought against Republican Senator Joseph McCarthy's witch hunt in the 1950s.
