A gift! The Maya Train lowers prices to attract more tourists during the off-season.

Faced with a drop in demand typical of the low vacation season, the Maya Train launched an attractive strategy: reducing its fares to encourage more people to discover the wonders of southeastern Mexico aboard this new rail system. The new intermodal fares, which combine the station and transfer to the city center, start at just 25 pesos.
High-demand tourist destinations such as Cancún, Playa del Carmen, and Tulum now cost only 55 pesos, while the trip to Tulum International Airport can be made for 35 pesos. For those wishing to travel to Bacalar, one of Quintana Roo's most iconic Pueblos Mágicos, the price is only 25 pesos.
In addition to these special fares, the Maya Train now departs every hour, making it easier to plan trips for both domestic and local tourists looking to explore the region at a low cost. This measure contributes to efforts to position the train as an efficient, accessible, and culturally enriching means of transportation.
For added convenience, users can download the official Maya Train app, available in digital stores. From there, users can buy tickets without waiting in line, check schedules and routes, and easily plan itineraries, all from their mobile devices.
“Traveling has never been so easy,” the promotional campaign emphasizes, highlighting the spectacular landscapes that can be enjoyed along the way: tropical rainforests, turquoise beaches, Mayan archaeological sites, and towns steeped in tradition.
With this strategy of price reductions and improved user experience, the Maya Train seeks not only to increase occupancy during the months of lower tourist flow, but also to establish itself as a key means of transportation connecting residents and visitors in the southeast of the country.
