Cristian Ritondo confirmed that Pro and La Libertad Avanza will run together in Buenos Aires to confront Kirchnerism and denied that the Libertarians are seeking to dissolve the party.

National Representative Cristian Ritondo , president of the Pro Party in the province of Buenos Aires , stated that he is working to reach an agreement with La Libertad Avanza . The objective, he said, is to confront Kirchnerism in the most populous district in the country. "We're going to work together; I'm going to work so that we can work together, understanding that it's the best thing for Argentina and the Province," he stated after participating in the AmCham event.

"Milei is the leader of change in Argentina, and Macri told her so." Cristian Ritondo stated that the slogan is "yellow and violet, one path forward" to defeat Kirchnerism in the Argentine capital.

Cristian Ritondo was chosen by Mauricio Macri to build bridges with the Libertarians. In this context, he sought to smooth over the differences that arose after the elections in the City of Buenos Aires. There, Manuel Adorni won as the LLA candidate, doubling the votes of Pro representative Silvia Lospennato . Despite this, the legislator emphasized that the situation would have been different with a unified list.

Pro and La Libertad Avanza seek an electoral agreement

“In the City, we could have reached 50% if we went together,” Ritondo reflected. According to Sunday's results, Adorni reached 30% and Lospennato obtained 16%. This dispersion, he asserted, is a lesson for what's to come. “We have to learn from this for what we play in the Province,” he noted.

In response to President Javier Milei 's statements, who described Pro as an "obsolete" party, Ritondo responded firmly. "The strength comes from the mayors, the councilors, and their leaders. Pro is not finished," he said. He also emphasized that both parties share a common vision for the country, and that this common ground can be the basis for a solid alliance.

The former Buenos Aires province security minister also praised the role Macri entrusted him with. He said the former president urged him to work for unity. "Macri asked me to advance dialogue. From Congress, we have supported this government on many important initiatives," he emphasized.

Ritondo denied that the libertarians want to dissolve Pro

When asked about the possibility of La Libertad Avanza seeking to incorporate Pro cadres to dissolve the party structure, Ritondo ruled it out. “I don't feel like they want to absorb us. On the contrary, I've felt respect in every meeting with Milei , Karina , Caputo , or Francos ,” he asserted. In that sense, he also differentiated his experience from the public conflict between Macri and Karina Milei , following the allegations of fake news in the Buenos Aires elections.

Finally, Ritondo expressed confidence that there will be time to organize the Buenos Aires electoral system. “The schedules were published a week and a half ago. We're calm. The challenge is how we work together to change people's lives,” he concluded.
