Cristina Kirchner returned to the balcony after the court's clarification on her house arrest.

Former President Cristina Kirchner returned to the balcony of her home at San José 1111 after the Second Federal Oral Court clarified that she has no restrictions on the use of " any specific space " in her apartment. Since Wednesday, the former president has been under house arrest in the Vialidad case , following the six-year sentence upheld by the Supreme Court.
The ruling authorizing her house arrest included a clause that raised questions: the former vice president was to "refrain from engaging in behavior that could disturb the tranquility of the neighborhood and/or disrupt peaceful coexistence." This ambiguous wording raised questions about whether she could continue to go out onto her balcony to greet the activists who gather daily at her door.
To avoid any misunderstandings, Cristina Kirchner's defense team requested a formal clarification. This Wednesday, the Second Federal Court of Justice (TOF) responded that she is not prohibited from using any part of her home. Hours later, Penitentiary Service personnel installed the electronic device to comply with the ruling.
Until the court's clarification was announced, the former president had not come out to greet the crowd, although supporters remained present in the street early in the morning. Finally, just after 7:30 p.m., she reappeared on the balcony to thank her followers for their support, in a gesture that quickly went viral on social media.
Days earlier, the mayor of Quilmes, Mayra Mendoza , had stated that Cristina would not be allowed to appear on the balcony: "What she had been doing, making minimal contact with so many people who came to greet her, the court ruled that she cannot do. Her smile bothers them," she stated, in a direct criticism of the judiciary. With the new ruling, her statements were rendered null and void.
Since the Supreme Court upheld her conviction, the former president moved to the Constitución neighborhood, where she currently resides, after leaving the Instituto Patria. According to sources close to her, she will serve the remainder of her sentence there in the case investigating irregularities in public works.
Despite the criticism, Peronist activists continued to demonstrate. In recent days, a group of women expressed their support with a powerful message: " We all wear the ankle bracelet ," referring to the monitoring device Cristina wears. The gesture was interpreted as a symbol of support during a time of heightened political and judicial exposure.
With the situation clarified, Cristina Kirchner will be able to continue greeting her supporters from the balcony. The scene, which has become commonplace, reaffirms that her image continues to generate support and mobilization. Despite the use of the electronic anklet , her connection to the militant movement remains intact.
