Javier Milei's reaction to the insults directed at José Luis Espert by Kirchnerist deputies

At the end of a scandalous session in Congress, José Luis Espert was insulted by Kirchnerist female representatives, a situation later condemned by Javier Milei. The President expressed his rejection of the insults in a message that also provided a clear direction ahead of the national legislative elections.
Milei shared a video on social media of Espert being insulted by Florencia Carignano and Paula Penacca. It occurred at the close of a session in which the opposition managed to advance committee consideration of bills rejected by the ruling party.
"In October we can end this social punishment of the Argentinians, aptly named Kirchnerism," Milei expressed on her X account.
During the day in Congress, the opposition attempted to address the funding of national universities and the emergency declaration at the Garrahan Hospital as the main issues. The ruling party managed to block immediate debate on these issues, but the move allowed the opposition to summon the committees to begin discussing these bills, which will begin next Tuesday.
The discussion lasted for hours, although it focused on issues of privilege and regulatory matters, the latter due to the timing of these critical matters in the ruling party-opposition relationship in Congress.

But the situation escalated toward the end of the session, after a heated speech by Cecilia Moreau of the Union for the Homeland party, who called José Luis Espert a "coward" and accused pro-government groups of "ignoring" the House's rules.
Then, when his turn was over, Pablo Juliano took the floor. But he barely managed to speak: the murmurs and shouts forced Martín Menem to call a halt to the fight between Carignano and Penacca, on one side, and Juliana Santillán (LLA) on the other. By then, some legislators were already leaving their seats. With the uproar erupting, and due to a lack of quorum, the session was adjourned.

For his part, presidential spokesman Manuel Adorni also came out to defend Espert after the insults he received from the Kirchnerist deputies.
"Love conquers hate ," said the elected legislator for the La Libertad Avanza party, along with the video showing the scandalous final scene.
His collaborator Javier Lanari echoed this sentiment. "They attack, insult, and assault the victim. They've become a gang defending criminals . Violence is the last resort left to Kirchnerism," he noted.
“You coward, you psychopath, you're going to the courts,” Carignano was heard saying to Congressman Espert.
A shouting match and a near-fisticuffs fight between two female members of Congress.
In turn, Penacca added: "You are another one," in the direction of Fernando Iglesias .
"Unacceptable, the attack on the representatives of La Libertad Avanza in the Chamber of Deputies is unacceptable. Those from the National Unity bloc crossed the entire chamber to come and harass Representative Espert and Representative Santillán. Shameful," Iglesias said on his X profile.
The truth is that the central blocs believe that both Unión por la Patria and La Libertad Avanza were interested in adjourning the session and that the scandal served a purpose.
La Libertad Avanza didn't want the Libra commission to be summoned, nor did it want a vote on the bill amending the DNU law and seeking to limit Milei's "decretazos." That initiative has a ruling, so if it was voted on, it would receive partial approval.
For their part, they point out that Unión por la Patria had no intention of calling for a meeting due to delays and that they also wanted to "teach a lesson" to the Radicals, led by Pablo Juliano, who refused to include the bills they requested on the session agenda. Despite this, they granted a quorum.
