Luis Abinader receives credentials from new ambassadors
President Luis Abinader received the credentials of seven new ambassadors this Wednesday, in a ceremony held in the Ambassadors' Hall of the National Palace, among whom are the ambassadors of Haiti and Russia .

The presentation of letters began at 11:41 a.m. and continued until 12:46 p.m. , in individual meetings lasting between four and 11 minutes.
Haitian Ambassador Emmanuel Fritz Longchamp is the first official representative of his country in the Dominican Republic following the assassination of President Jovenel Moïse in July 2021. Since 2022, there has been no diplomatic representation of the neighboring nation in the country, at the ambassadorial level.
Alexey Seredin is the first Russian ambassador appointed to the Dominican Republic since the establishment of diplomatic relations 80 years ago.

Haiti: 11:41 to 11:50 (9 minutes)
Chile: 11:53 to 11:59 (6 minutes)
Russia : 12:01 to 12:07 (6 minutes)
Georgia: 12:09 to 12:13 (4 minutes)
Kuwait: 12:17 to 12:28 (11 minutes, with interpreter)
Mongolia: 12:30 to 12:37 (7 minutes)
Vietnam : 12:40 to 12:46 (6 minutes)
As is tradition, the ceremony began with the playing of the Dominican national anthem and the anthems of the countries represented.
It was led by President Luis Abinader and Foreign Minister Roberto Álvarez .
